Womanhood

“Don’t take yourself too seriously” — this is the message the creators of Womanhood offer to the world. Irony, perspective, and humor become essential tools for speaking about life and about femininity.

At the core of the work lies the imagined first encounter of two women. As if at the very beginning of the world’s story, Eve and Lilith met — not as religious figures, but as archetypes of different ways of being a woman. One embodies softness and acceptance, the other independence and inner strength. Not opposition, but dialogue. Not conflict, but recognition.

Womanhood embraces a wide spectrum of identities, expressions, and paths connected to ideas of power, resilience, and individuality. From motherhood to sisterhood, from fulfilling expectations to creative freedom, femininity unfolds in countless forms, each carrying its own story and meaning.

The performance adapts to a variety of spaces — from traditional theaters with professional stage technology, atmospheric lighting, and sound design, to outdoor locations, schools, and urban streets. In a theatrical setting, the work comes alive in a particularly immersive way: the stage and audience become one space, where every detail — light, sound, texture, and movement — heightens the emotional impact and sense of presence.

Its unique format — an artistic trip — allows the performance to interact organically with any environment. The action weaves into the surroundings, whether it’s the architecture and rhythm of the city or the intimate atmosphere of a theater. The performance grows with the space, inviting the audience to experience the encounter as part of reality rather than as a separate theatrical event.

By connecting cultural contexts, personal experiences, and artistic influences, the creators shape a work that transcends gender boundaries and resonates with diverse audiences — where, for a moment, art and everyday life become one.
